About MAF

Built from a story of connection.

MAF honors Mersades Ann by creating outdoor experiences where children impacted by parental incarceration can learn, heal, and feel supported.

Mission

Inspiring hope through outdoor connection.

The Story

Mersades carried connection forward.

Scott Morgan's incarceration affected his daughter's youth, but father and daughter later found their way back to each other through fishing, honest conversation, and time outdoors.

Two days before Mersades passed in June 2023, she took two children fishing. MAF was founded in September 2023 to carry that spirit into a lasting nonprofit mission.

How We Work

Practical support, steady presence, memorable experiences.

Outdoor Learning

Fishing, camping, nature, and hands-on moments give children a different setting for confidence and curiosity.

Emotional Resilience

Programs are built around calm, dignity, and belonging instead of pity or labels.

Spiritual Growth

The work honors faith, family values, and the quiet strength children can discover through connection.
