Three Ways to Get Involved with MAF

Whether you offer time, partnership, or financial support, there is a clear way to stand behind MAF’s mission.

MAF’s outdoor experiences are supported by a wider community. Volunteers, sponsors, donors, families, and local partners each help the foundation create opportunities for children impacted by parental incarceration. If you are ready to get involved, these are three places to begin.

Research context

AmeriCorps and U.S. Census Bureau research found that 75.7 million people—more than 28% of Americans age 16 and up—formally volunteered through an organization between September 2022 and September 2023. Together, they contributed an estimated 4.99 billion hours.

Those figures describe volunteering nationally, not MAF participation or impact. They show the broader scale of people choosing to serve through community organizations.

1. Volunteer

Volunteers can support events, welcome families, and help create a steady presence around MAF experiences. The foundation’s dedicated volunteer funnel contains the current registration process and acknowledgment information. Volunteer roles and event needs may vary. 2. Become a sponsor

Sponsorship gives businesses, organizations, and community members a way to support MAF events, programs, and long-term growth. The sponsorship page includes the current sponsorship-interest form. MAF can follow up directly about available options and questions.

MAF accepts both one-time gifts and monthly support through secure checkout options on the Donate page. A one-time gift offers immediate support. Monthly giving provides a recurring way to stand behind the foundation throughout the year. Choose the option that fits your circumstances.
