Information and purposes

We collect information you choose to provide through the relevant form or communication, such as your name, contact details, message, supporter preferences and consent choices. Program and event forms may also request participant, parent or guardian information and participation or release records.

We use this information to respond to inquiries; coordinate programs, events, volunteers and sponsorship discussions; administer donations and related records; record participation and consent; and operate and improve the website. Please use the appropriate program or release form when requested. Do not put medical details, payment information, full addresses or other sensitive participant information in the general inquiry form.

Website and payment providers

MAF uses HighLevel for website, form and contact-management services, Stripe for online payment checkout, and Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to measure website use and interactions. These providers process information needed to provide their services. Online card details are entered at Stripe checkout. The website may use cookies and similar technologies for functionality and measurement. You can manage cookies through your browser and any choices presented on the website.

Optional email updates

Email updates are optional and require a separate opt-in choice. Sending an inquiry, donating, or submitting a program, event or volunteer form does not by itself give permission to add you to MAF email updates. Updates may include programs, events, volunteer opportunities and ways to support MAF. You may unsubscribe using the link in an update or contact MAF to change your preference. Administrative replies and information needed to handle your request or participation are separate from optional updates.

Participant and media information

A parent or authorized guardian should provide information and permissions for a minor through the applicable process. Participation, release and photo or video permissions are addressed in the relevant form or a separate request. Email opt-in does not provide participation or media permission. Contact MAF if you have questions about a permission or wish to discuss your choices.

Retention and requests

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here and for required operational and recordkeeping needs. A release that is valid for 365 days has a participation-validity period; that period is not a promise to delete its records after 365 days.
